Study in Seoul Korea

I think if you are a native English speaker and want to study somewhere new, Seoul is not a bad choice at all.

The Republic of Korea has many scholarships and international programs for foreigners.

Universities here are competing each other for the number of international students in their campuses.

A lot of jobs are available for native English speakers, too.

Why Koreans Hate Japan, You Asked?

Let me tell you my version of story.

Since my English is not that great, there will be many errors in this post

Korea’s History is over 4000 years. Many Kingdoms were built by Koreans in the Korean Peninsula and Manchuria. For Koreans and other Asians except Japanese people believed the Empire runs by Han is the center of the world. Kingdoms around the Chinese Empire had kept tributes the Emperor and asked for its protection and not to intervene in their domestic politics. Kingdoms like Goguryeo used to fight back to Chinese Empire but most people in the region saw this Yellow Sea and East China Sea area as the only civilized, center of the world that actually existed.

But Japan back then was pain in the back for Koreans and Chinese. Japan was not a unified country. It was Japanese pirates who bothered Koreans and Chinese on their east coast. They used to land on Korean or Chinese lands, kill people, steal and run away. More unified and developed country they became, more organized attacks were committed. What Japan did to Asia after it had gone through Meiji Revolution may seem as the first and only wrong case to the Westerners but it was one of many provocations among others and that last one was, of course, the biggest one.




The United States has been in the war on extreme Muslim terrorists for decades but they are already sworn enemies to America. There are many Americans who just hate Islam because of a very few terrorists. If you look into Korean and Chinese modern literature, everything is about what Japan did or at least mention what it was like. What Japan has done in last thousands of years still remain in everywhere in the region. Japan is a huge part of culture and history, not some historic incidents that happened in 200 years of one country’s history. America was Japan’s enemy for once but didn’t it change the country a lot? Thousands of Japan’s assaults are quite something for Korean and Chinese people.

Even though you look into only the WW2 and post WW2, you can see why Koreans and Chinese people are so crazy about every word from Japan.
